“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4 7:8
Robert Ellis Styles was born September 28, 1922 in Gurley, Alabama, one of nine children born to Simeon Dawson and Leda Isom Styles. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 62 years, Maudine Taylor Styles. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and retired as a supervisor in the commissary at Fort Eustis, Virginia. He was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church of Williamsburg for over fifty years where he was an active participant in all areas of serving others. He truly loved his church and community. He had many friends during his life time and he did not know a stranger. I would like to thank Mrs. Rebecca Warren, Robert and Tewathaw Reviea, the staff at Morningside of Williamsburg and Grace Hospice for their loving care during his extended illness. I also appreciate the prayers and support from his church family during this time.
