Robert Owen Williams, died March 3, 2015, in Williamsburg, Va. Dr. Williams was born November 6, 1927. He grew up in Arlington, Va., graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Medical College of Virginia and practiced medicine for many years in Richmond. He cherished memories of flying and time spent at his farm in Beaverdam. He derived great pleasure from his patients, colleagues and friends. Dr. Williams is survived by his daughter, Annette Clark; son, Gray; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen. A memorial is scheduled for Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richmond SPCA.
