Sarah Olivia Butler, 86, of Providence Forge, passed away on June 13, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Maggie Norman; her husband, Bob Butler; her son, Buddy; two brothers, Marion Norman and Maurice Norman; and one sister, Louise Strong.
Sarah was the beloved matriarch of her family, all of whom will cherish her memory. She lovingly provided care as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a devoted wife and homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Betty Houghtaling and her husband, Buz, of VA; Peggy Brant and her husband, Dave, of CA; and Bruce Butler and his wife, Lori, of CA; five grandchildren, Ana, Michelle, Donna, Brett, and Adam; her sister, Helen Jones, of CA; and a large extended family.
A service of remembrance will be held in California. She will be interred at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Arkansas at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.nelsencares.com.
