It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Sarah Elizabeth Coy on January 13th, 2024, after an extended struggle with liver disease.
Sarah was born on September 1,1989 to Jody Hampton and Pat Coy in Roanoke, Va. Sarah was a twin born just 6 minutes after her sister Susan, which Susan proudly held over her throughout her life. She primarily grew up in Williamsburg and in 2012 moved to Northern Virginia.
Sarah had a heart of gold and fiercely loved her family and friends. She was an amazing cook, often posting her latest creations on social media for all to envy. She was a great mother, daughter, and sister. Sarah loved the warm beaches, sunny blue skies and loved to travel. She was an avid Marvel fan and we “love you 3000!”
Sarah’s beautiful life will always be cherished by her mother, Jody Hampton, her father Pat Coy and his wife Pam Coy, her brother Stephen Coy and his wife Kerri Coy, her twin sister Susan Coy, and Sarah’s daughters Trinity Warren and Arianna Dunbar. She will also be missed dearly by her grandfather John Bookless, her beloved cousin Micah Binns, her Aunt Kathy and Uncle Bix Clarke, her Uncle Chris and Kristi Bookless, her Uncle Mike and Aunt Muriel Coy, her Uncle Tim and Aunt Corri Coy, and her Aunt Kathi Coy, as well as her awesome nephews, Joey, Levi, Jackson and Marshall Coy.
A visitation for Sarah will be held Friday, January 19, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 12:00 PM, also at Nelsen Funeral Home. A committal service will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park, 130 King William Drive, Williamsburg, Virginia.
