Scott Reed Evans

Scott was born on March 3rd, 1963, to Curtis and Sandra Evans in Rochester, New York. Scott graduated from St. Mary’s Area High School in 1980, and he went on to study Engineering at North Carolina State University.

After graduating with a degree in Engineering, he started his first job as a Field Engineer at McDevitt & Street. Thereafter, he went on to work for Clancy & Theys as a Superintendent. In 1994, he opened Scott Evans Contracting.

In 1983, Scott met Ellen Padden in Raleigh, North Carolina. Scott and Ellen went on to marry in 1985 and had two children, Katherine Anne and William Curtis Evans.

He truly was a generous and kind spirit. He once said the key to life is laughing. He enjoyed boating, fishing, smoking meat, and having a few cold ones with family and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Sandra Evans. He is survived by his spouse, Ellen; children, Katherine and William; daughter-in-law, Rachel; grandchildren, Sofia and Maria; and brother, Lee.

Services will be held at Nelsen’s Funeral Home in Williamsburg, Virginia on Saturday, April 16th at 10:00am.
