Sharon Patrice Jones

Sharon Patrice Jones, wife of Lawrence Jones, was called to eternal rest on July 8, 2016 at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Hospital after a long illness. She was born on February 16, 1958 in Williamsburg, VA to the late Thurman and Fayetta Wynne.

At an early age, she joined Shiloh Baptist Church, Williamsburg, VA and later joined New Zion Baptist Church, Williamsburg, VA. She was predeceased by two brothers, James “Boody” Wynne and Joseph Wynne. Sharon leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband, Lawrence Jones; two daughters, Tiona Green (Anthony) of Williamsburg, VA and Candice Gunter (Lieutenant Larry Gunter, II) of San Diego, CA; two granddaughters, Ayana Carter of Williamsburg, VA and Journee Gunter of San Diego, CA; one grandson, Langston Gunter of San Diego, CA; three sisters, Vivian Morgan, Janice Jackson of Williamsburg, VA and Joyce Small of Portsmouth, VA; two brothers, Thurman Leon Wynne and Larry Wynne (Tonita) of Williamsburg, VA; mother-in-law, Elnora Jones, Wiliamsburg, VA; sisters-in-law, Vivian Corbin, Elaine Zenobia Brown (Tony), Mary Wallace of Williamsburg, VA and Jean Cary (Grady) of Chesterfield, VA; brothers-in-law, William T. Jones (Corlis), Lionel Jones (Patricia), and Jonathan Jackson, Sr. of Williamsburg, VA; two aunts, Helen Wynne-Dandridge (Walter) of Williamsburg, VA and Flora Randall of Chesterfield, VA; nieces, nephews, cousins; god-son, Anthony Black, Jr., and many caring friends.

A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 5-7PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 12 noon at New Zion Baptist Church, 3991 Long Hill Rd., Williamsburg, VA.
