Sherrod Lewis Vaughn Jr. of Williamsburg, Virginia died at age 74 on Sunday, March 12, 2023, after a long illness. Sherrod was a graduate of Fork Union Military Academy. He was a naval veteran and served in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
Sherrod is survived by his cousins, Donald N Patten, Chester Holly, Lawrence Burton Woodall, Paul Eugene Woodall, Judy Woodall Stephens, Paul Kelly, Kathy Kelly, Donnie Woodall, and Peggy Young. The family thanks Cherita Jackson, his long-time caregiver, for her loving care and the doctors and staff at McGuire Veterans Hospital, Richmond, Virginia for their excellent care and treatment.
A memorial service will be held at Nelsen funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia 23188 on April 16, 2023, at 2:00 pm.
