

She is survived by her two daughters, Shelle Priest (Mike), grandsons, Matthew and Eli; and Danielle Faison (Josh), grandson, Cody and granddaughters, Teighlor and Skyeler (Michael). She is also survived by five great-grandsons, Brayden, Landon, Brackstyn, Mason and Chance.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Don Steberl.
She was born on March 1, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio to Charles and Marion Selz. With degrees in psychology, education and special education she worked in education for 35 years; the last 20 years in early intervention for special needs children.
She was a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, sang Messiah each Christmas, was in Heritage-Scott Circle and the Aldersgate Sunday school class. She loved gardening, flowers, birds, music and long morning walks with her friends who felt like sisters. She absolutely adored her family.
A Memorial Service will be held at Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 500 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, Virginia, on August 15, 2026, at 11:00 am.
