Susan Lynch Mayrhofer, 74, passed away on November 17, 2021 at the Hospice of Williamsburg.
During her final days she was surrounded by her husband John, sons Thomas and Christopher and other family members.
Susan was born in New York City to Thomas W. and Susan A. Lynch. She graduated from Mary Lewis Academy, attended St. John’s University as a business major and also earned a Nursing Degree from Adelphi University, later working as a Hospice Nurse.
Susan married John Mayrhofer in 1969 and the couple had two boys, Thomas B. (Leigh Gayton) and Christopher G. (Carrie Schempp). Together they have three grandchildren Brandon, Leyton and Landon.
In addition to her family and nursing duties, Susan played the piano, loved to dance and as a child appeared on the weekly Children’s Hour television program in New York. She was an avid reader, an accomplished knitter and a lifelong New York Mets fan.
Susan’s last days were spent at the Hospice of Williamsburg and their compassionate and exceptional care made her passing much easier for both her and her family.
