Theodora Adora Daniel

She was preceded in death by her parents, Job and Rosalie Stapleton; her spouse, David "Roy“ Daniel; sisters, Marian Stapleton and Gertrude Stapleton; brothers, Alfred Stapleton, Henry Stapleton, Joseph Stapleton, and Harry Stapleton; mother-in-law, Sarah Hendrickson-Daniel; father-in-law, William Daniel; brother-in-law, George (Manfred) Daniel; and her sisters-in-law; Enid Flemming, Florence Alinda Morris-Tuitt and Gladys Greenaway.

Theodora attended British secondary school and retired as a chef. She was a member of the Altona Baptist Church, La Grande Princesse, U.S. Virgin Islands and their Women’s group. Along with serving the church, Theodora loved singing, sewing, baking, gardening, and reading.

She is survived by her brothers, Magason Stapleton, Benson Stapleton, Fredrick Stapleton and Nelson Stapleton; her sister, Anita James; brothers-in-law, Anderson Daniel and Sinclair James; sister-in-law, Ruth Tyson; her sons, Donald Daniel, Dexter Daniel, and Lennie Daniel; daughters, Denise Daniel and Merrylinda Brandy; daughters-in-law, Rhonda Gilmore-Daniel, Michelle Vandenheuvel, and Joan Daniel; and her son-in-law, Garry Brandy, Sr.

Theodora is also survived by her grandchildren, Roslyn Daniel, O’Marie Pemberton, Odessa Pemberton, Deion Daniel, Malik Daniel, Khalil Floyd Stevens, Sean Daniel, Elesha Rae Brandy, Josiah A. Brandy, Zachary Daniel, Hannah Daniel and Soraya Daniel; her great-grandchildren, JaCheyla Malone, Hezekiah Philip, Anya Melendez, Violeta Pemberton and Eliana Pemberton; and her nieces and nephews, Rosalie, Delroy, Rosemary, Leonora, Yasmin, Annette, Nigel, Shani, Tyler, Archie, Orville, Euclid, Carmen, Sharon, Livy, Carole, Brian, Sophia, Sharon, Deloris, Gwendolyn, Pamela, Clive, Hughie, Jason, Ald, Sandra, Mirielle, Sonia, Minilli, Nicola, Trevor and many more.

She will also be missed by her close friends and other family members, Pastor Will Woods and family, the Petersen family, the Nelson family, the Tyson family, the Stapleton family, the Richards family, Pastor Barnes, Ms. Iva Tyson, Dorothy Gilmore, the Doran family, and her Altona Baptist Church family.

A visitation for Theodora will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, Virginia 23188. A service will occur Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Williamsburg Baptist, 227 Richmond Rd, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185.
