

Vincent (Vince) Cannaliato, Jr. was born on July 12, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY, to Vincent Cannaliato, Sr., and Margaret (Mancuso) Cannaliato, and he passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024. He grew up in Brooklyn, NY attending New Utrecht High School. Vince received a Bachelor of Science from Fordham University and earned his Master’s degree in Mathematics from Brooklyn College.
Vince met the love of his life, June Marino, on a blind date in New Jersey. They married on April 8, 1967, and soon after moved to Germany while Vince was serving as a Captain in the U.S. Army. In 1968, he was deployed to Vietnam, where he earned the Bronze Star Medal for his meritorious service in a combat zone. Vince left the military in 1969 to start a family and pursue a career in finance. He and June settled in northern New Jersey, where they raised their three children: Amy, Kimberly, and Douglas.
Throughout his life, Vince held many roles and pursued a wide range of interests. He served as a U.S. Army Officer, worked as an investment banker, became an entrepreneur, and taught as a Professor of Business at Fordham University, Rutgers University, and Pace University. Appointed by the Secretary of Commerce, he served for 11 years as Chairperson of the Advisory Board to the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Vince was also an amateur magician and a member of the Academy of Magical Arts at the Magic Castle in Los Angeles, a board member of Tomorrows Children’s Fund, and Chief of the YMCA Indian Guides & Princesses. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
As Vince and June’s health needs grew, they moved to Williamsburg, VA, in 2024 to be closer to their daughter Kimberly and her family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, June; his daughters, Amy (Joe) and Kimberly (Tim); his son, Douglas (Gina); and his treasured grandchildren: Julius, Emma, Megan, Todd, and Sabrina. Vince was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dr. Joseph Cannaliato.
