As a Navy wife, they lived in several homes within the United States sometimes only with her daughter while her husband was overseas. After Andrew retired from a Navy Career and Civil Service in Annapolis, Maryland, they began traveling and were avid NASCAR fans and had season seats at many of the racetracks. They were thrilled to meet and enjoy times with some of the champion drivers. Vivian also enjoyed the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals baseball teams and was fortunate to attend games.
Vivian was blessed with good health and a sharp mind which allowed many years to enjoy her two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren and attend many birthday celebrations and cheer them at their school sports events. Also, there are wonderful memories of beach family fun in the summers. She continued her devotion to God in reading the Bible and daily prayers. Vivian loved baking and preparing Southern dishes. She maintained a beautiful home, yard and garden of flowers and enjoyed every season and especially when fall arrived, she liked raking the leaves. Vivian was the epitome of a true Southern Lady with beauty, style and grace and will forever be in the hearts of family and friends.
