Sorry to hear about Bill.

I had the great privilege of working with Dr. Kinard on the LDEF return mission and all [or most] of the LDEF conferences.
Bill was a pleasure to work with and I am sure he will be missed by everyone.

Kim & Bill- I am so very sorry to learn about your father's passing. I thought a lot of your Mom and Dad and can still see them in my mind's eye back in the Queens Lake days. A beautiful couple who gave back to the community in so many ways. Paul and I will be thinking and praying for you, Bill and your family. Our sincere condolences to you all.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of your dear father.  I have fond memories of both of your parents.  They were always kind to me.  May God bring you and your family comfort and peace as you mourn this great loss.

What a loss and my sympathies to his entire family. 
I met Bill in the early seventies and we collaborated over many years on a number of projects, all focused on his professional love: cosmic dust and man made debris. We all admired him as a competent colleague, forceful advocate, wise leader, and trusted friend.

I was fortunate enough to work with Bill on the LDEF Mission in the late 80s and early 90s, and Bill was absolutely one of the greatest, nicest men I ever met or worked with.  True gentleman, great scientist, and even better friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bill's friendship meant a lot to my Dad. I hope one day you are comforted by the joyful memories of times together.

As I spent childhood with Bill's grandson Harrison, it was easy to look up to Bill and see his remarkable mind at work on so many levels.  Such a great, humble, brilliant man does not come along often.  He will be missed.

Bill Kinard was a true visionary and a world-class scientist!  Bill made very important and fundamental discoveries about the interplanetary space and the materials that fly through space.  It was an honor to know and work with Bill for many years at the NASA Langley Research Center!  Bill will be greatly missed by all his NASA colleagues and his many friends!

I was a teammate of Bill's on the Ninety Six HS football team. I will always remember Bill and Becky tooling around town in his A-Model Ford. My condolences.

Bill and Becky...their life dedicated to to helping others. They will forever be remembered with love and gratitude by many in the community. They earned their place in heaven.

I'm truly saddened yet at the same time relieved to hear of my friend Bill's passing.  He was a brilliant person and someone that I enjoyed many hours of talk with at the marina.  Finally he is at peace and no longer suffering. He will be truly missed by many of us.

Bill kinard was an excellent contributor to NASA. The success of the Long Duration Exposure Facility (LDEF) flight experiment was in large part due to the dedicated work of Bill. This experiment added more to our understanding of the effects of long term space exposure on materials than any other experiment. I have very good memories working with Bill on the LDEF experiment and in many ways LDEF was "Bill Kinard". I have great admiration for his dedication and perseverance to insure that NASA gained all the data possible from what some will say was the most important flight experiment on structural materials ever conducted by NASA.

I worked for Bill during his successful project called the Long Duration Exposure Facility or LDEF, which orbited the Earth and gathered a lot of scientific data including one regarding seeds and students who evaluated them upon return to Earth.
