William Reese Loughman

The family of William Reese Loughman, 22, is saddened to share the news of his passing on August 2, 2021. Will was a student at Waller Mill Elementary School and Hornsby Middle School, then graduated from York River Academy in 2017. He attended classes at Thomas Nelson Community College before transferring to James Madison University in January 2020, majoring in Computer Information Systems in the School of Business. As a student, Will worked for both Chick-Fil-A and Busch Gardens, and particularly enjoyed his internships in New York City with Strategic Financial Solutions. He also enjoyed hiking, movies, video games, and NBA basketball. Will is survived by his parents, Nicole and Robert Loughman; sister, Brooke Loughman; grandparents, Carol and Charles Reiss, and Lee Anne and Richard Loughman; aunts and uncles, Kim and Brian Reiss, Lauren Almquist and Greg Loughman, and Kristine and Matt Loughman; and cousins, Olivia and Henry Reiss, and Violet and Annie Loughman. Visitation will be Friday, August 6, 2021 from 1PM-3PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. Services will also take place at Nelsen Funeral Home on Saturday, August 7 at 2:00 PM. The family plans to establish an educational scholarship in Will's name.
