Alice Irene Ruhlig passed on September 17, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born July 8, 1944, in Lansing, the daughter of Harry and Frieda (Stears) Odell. She retired after many years as an Accounts Collection Analyst. Alice loved playing games and looked forward to playing with friends each week. She enjoyed time spent reading and antique shopping with Valerie.
Surviving are her husband, Emil Charles Ruhlig; children, Gregory Allen Ruhlig and Valerie Ann Ruhlig; grandchildren, David Matthew Devere Green and Victoria Lynn (Tyler) Strohschein; great-grandchildren, Liam E. Towne, Jason C. Green, Louise F. Green, and Annabelle K. Stroschein; siblings, Cloyce Odell and Frances Gordon. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Harry Odell Jr, Selma Lee, Maxine Olsen, and George Odell.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Gorsline Runciman Williamston Chapel with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow at Summit Cemetery.
