Born October 20, 1988 to proud parents Fran Roth and Dick Roth, Andy grew up alongside his two brothers and three stepbrothers. As you can imagine, Andy was a quick student of playful antics and developed a unique and genuine sense of humor that was a hallmark of his magnetic personality. He went on to study at Purdue University where he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and easily made life-long friendships. He eventually joined Sparrow Hospital in Lansing and quickly became a cherished part of the pharmacy team where he was adored and esteemed.
In 2016, Andy met his perfect match, Jenny, who he always said with a grin that he “had her after the first date.” And never a truer statement was made. Their son Cooper and daughter Evie were Andy’s greatest joy. His love for them was beyond measure. He was always proud when talking to anyone about his two children. He nurtured within them a love of learning, imagination, and playfulness they will carry forever.
Throughout his life, Andy accrued a long list of interests and skills. To mention a few, he loved to travel, make great memories and always kept his eye on the sky to catch a glance at what birds were around. Two honors that deserve special recognition include his reign as Macomb County Chess Champion in 2000 and earning the coveted prize, Best Dad of Christmas 2023.
Andy was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. With his captivating positive attitude, loveable smile, good-humored conversation, and unwavering patience, he handled both the good times and hard times well. That was our Andy. You always looked forward to time spent with him and undoubtedly there are many people out there who feel his absence.
Just as Andy prioritized finding joy in life and sharing it with others, his family asks that you do the same in his memory. Go outside with those you love and watch the birds, take a road trip to Saugatuck, or sit in the sun and laugh about the small things.
In lieu of a traditional memorial service, Andy requested to “have a big party,” which will be arranged soon and communicated to all those who’d like to attend. Donations in Andy’s honor can be directed to Gift of Life Michigan to support organ donation, as Andy selflessly donated his organs to others in need after his passing.
Andy’s legacy will live on through his wife Jenny; and his son Cooper and daughter Evie. He will be forever cherished by his mother Fran Roth, and father and stepmother Dick and Connie Roth; his siblings and their families (Kevin, Patrick, David, Eric, and Brian); and the Siebert family (his Aunt Suzanne and cousins Erin, Lauren, and Ben) as well as cousins Erin Reynolds and Jeff Roth.
