OBITUARY

Ann Louise Michell

October 3, 1947February 14, 2020

Ann Louise Michell, age72, of Okemos passed away on February 14, 2020. She was born on October 3, 1947, in Pittsburg, PA to the late John and Ann Gailus. She grew up in Vandergrift, PA, attended Kiski Area High School and Indiana University in Indiana Pennsylvania.

Ann was an art teacher in Media Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, for 18 years. She met Roy G. Michell, Jr. while visiting Yosemite National Park in 1984. In 1986 they married in Lancaster Pennsylvania and enjoyed 31 wonderful years together. They lived in Rochester Hills, MI, Purcellville, VA, and then Holt, MI.

Ann enjoyed gardening, art of all kinds, and loved taking pictures of flowers. Her relationship with God was the most vital part of her life. Ann prayed for her family and friends often.

Ann is survived by her loving brother, Robert J. Gailus of Vandergrift, PA, and his daughter, Marianna of New York City; her stepchildren, William (Barbara) Michell, of Williamston, Lloyd (Shelly) Michell, of Colorado, and Annette Michell, of Boston, MA; and her 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy G. Michell Jr.; and her stepdaughter, Cheryl Michell. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14th, 2020 at 11 AM with visitation at 10:30 AM at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Okemos, MI with Reverend Richard Dalton officiating. A fellowship meal will follow the service.
