Beatrice Silsby was born on May 14, 1929 in Webberville, Michigan and passed away September 4, 2012, at the age of 83. Beatrice was the daughter of Dewey and Ruth (Wygant) Acker. Beatrice taught Sunday school for many years at Rowley Wesleyan, was a loyal member of the Webberville Garden Club for over 33 years, and enjoyed volunteering her time making over 1400 lap robes for the elderly.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 24yrs Lloyd Silsby, grandson Stephan Silsby, and brother, Floyd Acker. Beatrice is survived by her daughters Jean (Tom) Ferrigan of Munising, MI, Ariel (Rodney) Andrews of Webberville, MI, Karen (Rick) Gardner of Lansing, MI, her two sons Raymond “David” (Ida) Silsby of Williamston, MI, Dean (JoAnn) Silsby of Fowlerville, MI, 18 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, brother, David (Sharon) Acker of Webberville, MI, sister Edith Northrup of Perry, MI, and sister-in-law Josephine Acker.
The family will receive friends at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St. Williamston on Friday, from 5-8pm. The Funeral service will be Saturday, September 8th, at 11a.m at Rowley Wesleyan Church, Williamston, MI, with Rev. Les Kephart officiating.
