Brenda Joyce Brassington

Brenda Brassington, age 61, of Haslett, Michigan passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023. Brenda was born in Long Beach, California. She was a family woman with a heart of gold. She truly loved all of her friends and family, but her grandkids just a bit more.

Brenda dedicated 25 years of her life to serving her community as a member of the Lansing Fire Department. She worked tirelessly, rising through the ranks and eventually retiring with her Captain's badge. Her commitment and bravery were an inspiration to all those who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Outside of her career, Brenda had a passion for various hobbies. She enjoyed playing slow pitch softball, spending time outdoors, and tending to her garden. Brenda took great pride in planting flowers and ensuring her garden was well-maintained. Her green thumb was evident to anyone who visited her home.

A memorial service for Brenda will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 East Middle Street, Williamston. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 12:00 PM.
