The smile that accompanied "Dr. Partridge you cannot do that with your account." was reassuring because you knew the next statement would be "But let's see what we can do to solve your problem." And I think that was true even when she was buried with work on all corners of her desk. Truly a light in our world. Carol will be missed in so many ways.

Carol was always a pleasure to be around and to work with. I knew Carol through the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition for numerous years. I was sorry to hear of her passing from a former Food Science and Human Nutrition person. I had relocated away from the Lansing area, but stayed in touch with Carol for awhile until she retired. Sending prayers to God for comfort and peace to Ed and her family.

My heart is full of memories when I think of the many years of working side by side with Carol in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. She was a mentor, co-worker and a true friend. Loyal and dedication comes to mind when I think of her and she managed those accounts with an iron fist! One trusted that she treated the accounts like her own. I remember specific things about Carol - giving the prayer before the staff Thanksgiving, her mushroom dressing and a picture in the department files of a young Carol in white, shiny, knee high boots. It somehow disappeared after we found it. What I remember most is the absolute love and joy that she had for her family. Tom and Anthony were her light and she glowed whenever she talked about them. Their wives and her grandchildren were treasured and she loved time spent with them. She was a good and faithful servant on this earth. God has a new angel in his midst. Prayers of comfort to her family and friends.

I was honored to work in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition with a wonderful group of support staff over the years. Hardworking, knowledgeable, friendly, always there to help students and faculty navigate through the challenges at MSU. Carol had one of the hardest jobs, keeping all of the accounts and all of us in line! She always did this with a smile and professionalism. Her helping hand and gentle ways will fondly be remembered. Praying that Carol's family will find comfort in the memories that they all shared.

Carol’s parents and mine were best friends in Mason, she was like a big sister to me. She was happy smiling and kind, lots of fun with an infectious laugh. I worked with her in the ID dept. at MSU when I was in college and it was always fun. She would always give me a ride back to my dorm and she always was telling me happy family stories. I am so saddened to learn of her passing, she is a joyful part of my growing up years. Condolences to all her family.

It was my real pleasure to work with Carol in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition for more than 25 years. She was competent and helpful and I considered her a real friend. I was amazed at how she could work with so many accounts, personalities, deadlines and changes in accounting systems and still keep smiling. It was obvious that her family was very special to her. My thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.

Carol and I were best friends all through high school. We sat side by side in the flute section in band and spent some great times up at Interlochen together. I will always remember her wonderful smile and her contagious laugh!
To Ed and the family, I offer my deepest sympathy but know that you have lots of good memories to help get you through this time. My husband and I are still in Arizona for the winter so will miss the service but will be thinking of you all.
