Charles Lee Cochrane, "Charlie" or " Lee", 73, passed away Tuesday, July 24th with his loving wife, Jeannie (Fenska) Cochrane of 31 years by his side. Charlie was born November 15th, 1944 in Williamston, MI to Hyland and Goldean (Pratt) Cochrane. Charlie graduated from Dansville High School in 1963. He served our country in the U.S. Army as a sergeant from 1967 to 1971. Charlie was so proud to serve the community of Williamston for 50 years as a member of NIESA/Williamston Fire Department, retiring this year as a lieutenant. Charlie was also a member of Williamston Eagles and Williamston Canada Club.

He was owner/operator of Lee's Standard Station in Williamston. His path took him through many adventures and occupations, but with mechanics and tinkering being his passion, he eventually opened and became the proud business owner of Charlie's Repair in Williamston.

Charlie loved life and time spent with his family and friends; whether it was cooking out, sharing his love for classic cars, John Deere Tractors, or just gathering around. His garage will forever be filled with memories of the best times of pulling up a stool and having a good laugh. Charlie instilled the importance of hard work and value of family.

-We LOVE you Charlie, "well, someone's got too."

The world is a little less bright without your amazing smile. I love you as big as this world Uncle Charlie and will miss you terribly, but on the flip side you are no longer in pain and are rejoicing with all that have went before you especially Grandma and Grandpa ❤❤. Rest easy you have earned it!! Hugs forever.

I am so blessed to have known Charlie. I will never forget his sense of humor and his smiling eyes.
I am thankful to have been a part of this beautiful family for nearly 12 years. Grandpa Charlie accepted me as one of his granddaughters, and I will miss him so much. My heart breaks for Jeannie and his beautiful family. Rest easy PaPa! ❤️

Such a loss...the last brother-in-law I had. Will miss your mischievous smile & never forget you working on our cars, cooking the Thanksgiving turkeys & sitting at our tiki bar last summer laughing & telling stories! So glad you came to the racetrack & spent the day with us & having a great time, in spite of you thinking it was "stupid to sit & watch a bunch of cars go around in a circle ". Share stories with Ken & Jerry. RIP

Will never forget our times spent working on a vehicle together or just sitting in the bucket having a beer maybe two, or our time snowmobiling together. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed.
Prayers to the family..
