Charlotte A. Hitchcock died peacefully Tuesday, September 3, 2013. She was 95.
Charlotte was born October 16, 1917 in Williamston to Arthur and Lena (Botsford) Piper. She worked as a secretary at MSU for many years, and was known to all as a caring person who saw the best in everyone. She touched countless lives with her love and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman Hitchcock; brother Maurice Piper; grandson Nick Hitchcock; son Scotty Hitchcock; son-in-law Wayne Hull; daughter-in-law Birdie Hitchcock; and her parents.
She is survived by her children; Cherie Hull of Bancroft; Cindy (Ed) Dunckel of Morrice; Allen (Dorothy) Hitchcock of Webberville; Barry (Sharon) Hitchcock of Webberville; Steve Hitchcock of Webberville; Karen Hitchcock of Williamston; Craig (Sharon) Hitchcock of Williamston; Mark (Mary) Hitchcock of Williamston; 24 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren; brother Roy (Pat) Piper of Williamston; sisters Bonnie (Robert) Smith of Perry; and Jean (Milan) Griffes of Shaftsburg. VISITATION WILL BE AT WILLIAMSTON FREE METHODIST CHURCH, 4400 N. WILLIAMSTON Rd. ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2013 FROM 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at 10am at the church.
