Cheryl Lynn (Ackerman) Schlosser was born March 20, 1962, the daughter of Reverend Gordon and Marilyn Ackerman, passed away August 6, 2015 at the young age of 53. Cheryl was a graduate of Frankenmuth High School, and Spring Arbor University, achieving her master’s degree from Grace Bible College. She was a resident of Haslett, Michigan for 18 years. She worked for Michigan Dyslexia Institute as Director and Teacher. Cheryl was very passionate about her students and teaching. She loved her time volunteering at the Williamston Food Bank, she enjoyed reading, and will be remembered as a very loving daughter, sister and aunt.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her husband Scott Schlosser (1995). She is survived by her parents Marilyn and Gordon Ackerman, sisters Kim (Michael) VanErp, Lisa Ackerman, nieces Ariel VanErp, Shelbie VanErp, and nephew Dakota VanErp.
The memorial service will be held Saturday August 8, 2015 at 11am at Williamston Free Methodist Church, 4400 N. Williamston Rd., Williamston. The Rev. Douglas A. Bradshaw will be officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-7pm at the church, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Cheryl to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, P.O. Box 30480, Lansing, MI 48909-9986.
