Claude James Salisbury Jr. was born May 20, 1931 in Williamston, Michigan and went to his heavenly home October 23, 2012, at the age of 81. Claude was the son of Claude Sr. and Irene (McMahon) Salisbury.
Claude graduated from Williamston High School, served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and went on to work at General Motors where he retired from after 40 years of service.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Sr. and Irene; brothers, Earl (Delpha) Salisbury, Clare (Burlene) Salisbury; sisters, Edna (Dave) Danieli, Doris Gottschalk, and Ruth Salisbury. Claude is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alda (Fox) Salisbury; daughter, Sheila Salisbury; sons, Gary (Jackie) Salisbury and Craig (Cira) Salisbury; and four grandchildren; Mike (Amy) Salisbury, Carlos Salisbury, Briana Salisbury, and Wes (Sabrina) Salisbury.
The family will receive friends at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St. Williamston on Thursday, October 25, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, with Rosary being prayed at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10 a.m., October 26, 2012 at St Mary Catholic Church, 157 High St. Williamston, MI, with the Rev. Peter J. Clark, officiating. The Rite of Committal will be held following the Funeral Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with military honors.
