

Diane Lynn Pitts (Vallieres), age 54, passed away on December 19, 2024, at Safe Haven Living of Haslett in Haslett, MI. Born on September 21, 1970, at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Township, MI, Diane was the beloved daughter of Nancy Louise Vallieres (Karolyi) and the late Michael Joseph Vallieres.
Diane graduated from Monroe High School and pursued her passion for education at Eastern Michigan University, where she earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Early Education and a Master’s degree in Early Elementary Education. A recipient of a full-ride scholarship, she dedicated her life to teaching and nurturing young minds. Diane taught at several schools throughout Michigan, including St. Patrick's Elementary School in Carleton, Summit Academy, Landmark Academy in Kimball, Hillman Elementary School, and others. She also worked as a para-professional and substitute teacher during her career. Her dedication to her students was evident; the Hillman community especially cherished her as an exceptional teacher whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impact.
Diane’s greatest joy in life was her family. She often said her children were her proudest accomplishments. She is survived by her three children: Benjamin Ryan Robinson of Williamston, MI; Jocelyn Marie Pitts of Kawkawlin, MI; and Isabella Rose Pitts of Williamston, MI. She is also survived by her siblings Joseph Vallieres of Novi, MI, and Danielle Cole of Monroe, MI; as well as nieces and nephews Morgynn Vallieres of Novi, Matthew Vallieres of Novi, Cameron Cole of Monroe, and Taylor Cole of Monroe.
She is preceded in death by her father Michael Joseph Vallieres.
Diane will be remembered for her selflessness, patience, and nurturing spirit. She loved raising her cats, reading, teaching in her classroom, and spending time with family. Her kindness brought smiles to all who knew her.
Diane will be forever missed and is forever loved by those who knew her.
