Dorothy Ione Dansby of Williamston was born June 27, 1918 and went to be with her Lord, peacefully in her sleep on February 18, 2012 at the age of 93. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Ted in 2001, her parents, John and Blanche Chick, and brother John Chick.
Dorothy is survived by her children Bruce (Laura Sue [Susie]) Dansby of Fowlerville, Ralph (Cindy) of Perry, Shirley (Merton) Decker Prescott of Lansing and Ardyce (Jack) Chambers of Webberville, she loved her eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Dorothy enjoyed cooking and sewing and taught sewing for 4-H clubs for many years. She was a community leader at the West Locke 4-H Club and Locke Township Clerk for many years.
Visitation will be Monday, February 20, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 21, at 1p.m. at the chapel. Interment will be at Rowley Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Haven of Rest for the 7years of wonderful, loving care for their Mother and the support that they gave the rest of her family.
