Esther Dreves

Esther Edith Dreves, age 76, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. She was born November 15, 1948, in Flint, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Elizabeth Bennett (Simms). Esther graduated from Lakewood High School in 1966 and went on to have a 40-year career at the Michigan Department of Treasury in Lansing, Michigan. A long-time resident of Williamston, she enjoyed cooking, antiquing, and tending to the family apple orchard. More than anything, she loved spending time with and caring for her family. Esther was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Her beloved husband, John Dreves passed in October 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Candice (Chris Pohl) and grandchildren Anna, Alex, and Emily of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister, Barbara Gunter (Terry) of Eddyville, Kentucky, and brother, Max Bennett of Aurora, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Bennett.

Visitation will be from 12pm until the time of service at 1pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Gorsline Runciman Chapel, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston, Michigan.
