Gwenda Lynne Chick

Gwenda Lynne (Piper) Chick passed away peacefully Monday, November 7th, 2022 at her home in Webberville. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on March 3rd, 1955 to her late parents Roy and Patricia Piper.

Gwenda married her love, Bob Chick, on August 4th, 1972. After that, she welcomed two children Matthew in 1974 and Christina in 1976. Then in 2001, she became a grandmother for the first time to a granddaughter that holds part of her name and became a grandmother again in 2005 to twin grandsons.

Throughout her years she was an avid crafter who made countless needlepoint pictures and crocheted a plethora of different items. Gwenda also loved to take pictures of her family and loved ones at family events so she could share them with her friends.

Gwenda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert M. Chick; children, Matthew R. Chick and Christina Ann (Jeffrey) Herbert; grandchildren, Anna Lynne, Evan Matthew, and Joseph Matthew Herbert; and brothers, Gary (Gwen) and Glen (Teresa) Piper. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Roy and Patricia Piper and her brother, Gregg Piper.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 12:00 PM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home Williamston Chapel, 205 East Middle Street, Williamston, MI 48895. Following the service, Gwenda will be laid to rest in Rowley Cemetery, Perry Rd (M52), Williamston, MI 48895.

Serving as pallbearers are Jeffrey Herbert, Anna Herbert, Evan Herbert, Gary Piper, Glen Piper, and Matthew Chick. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Joseph Herbert.

Memorial contributions in Gwenda's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
