James is preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne and parents.
The Whitcraft family was a hard working, close knit family. James and Suzanne started a successful pipleline business over 40 years ago. They had two sons, Scott and Patrick who helped in running the family business. James, Scott and Patrick would mainly be the ones who would work out in the field. While Suzanne was typically the one running the office.
While James farmed and started his own business, Suzanne went to college and was able to achieve a degree in Business. Her business degree landed her a job for the State of Michigan in the liquor control department. Suzanne retired after 20 years of service to go and help her family with the farm and the pipeline business.
James and Suzanne were great parents and hardworking people. They raised their sons with the same values of hard work, the importance of family, and respect.
One of James' favorite things to do was to run the family farm. He enjoyed being outside. Suzanne loved to take care of the farm animals. She had dogs, goats, pigs, cows and many other animals along the way.
They were both givers. They loved to help people and it showed through donating their hard earned money to many different charities. That made their hearts happy.
Left to cherish both of their memories are their sons, Scott and Patrick.
A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter, 600 Buhl St, Mason, MI 48854.
