John was a retired dairy farmer. He enjoyed the farm, the outdoors, the animals and the simpler lifestyle this provided.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Ernell (Saindon) DesJardin, his siblings; Delores , Jeanette, Marcella, Clifton, Stafford and Hubert. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Terry) Anderson; grandchildren, Michelle Anderson, Mark (Jessica) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Sam and Issabella, sisters; Lorraine Jackson and Patricia Buterbaugh.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00am on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. Joseph/ St. Patrick Parish, 709 First Avenue South Escanaba. Interment will follow the service at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
