Julie Kay Martell

Wayland, Michigan

Age 55, Julie passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2015. She was born on April 28, 1959 to William and Carolyn (Potratz) McManaman. In 1987, Julie married the love of her life, Richard R. Martell. They have traveled along bumpy roads together thru the loss of parents and a grandchild but they did it all together. Julie was a valued employee at Quadax, Inc. where she was recently named Employee of the Year.

Julie was the heart of the family where she is survived by son, Jason (Samantha Fawaz) and daughter Kristina, grandchildren Julian, Cayden and Chloe. She is also survived by siblings: Christine Knapp; Timothy McManaman; Dana McManaman (Ken Careathers); Robert (Judy) McManaman; Laura (Roy) Speer; and Catherine (Chuck) Sicher. Julie will be especially missed by Diane Davis-Webster, Patty Dykeman, and her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews who were always first in her thoughts.

Visitation will be held from 2-5pm Sunday March 1, 2015, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston, MI 48895, and one hour prior to the funeral. The funeral mass will be held Monday March 2nd at 11am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 157 High St., Williamston, MI 48895, with Fr. Mark Rutherford officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
