Karl Maynard Goodnoe was born December 17, 1927 in Eaton Rapids, Michigan and passed away October 17, 2019 in Lansing, Michigan at age 91. Karl was the son of the late Walter C. and Blanche (Soule) Goodnoe.
Karl joined the US Navy in 1945 during World War II. In 1950, he married Betty L. Herber in Owosso, Michigan. Together they had three children; Daniel (JoAnn), Donald, and Katharine (Al) Fleming. In February 1971, he married Thelma Turner in Williamston. Karl worked for the Railroad most of his adult life. He loved spending his free time woodworking, gardening, wine making, traveling and really loved square dancing.
Karl is survived by his children and stepchildren Marie Rediss, Leila (Jim) McNelly, Amos (Glenda) Turner, grandchildren Tracy Fritcher (Rob), Brent (Melissa) Goodnoe, Eric (Alison) Goodnoe, Alisha (Mark) Bouchard, step grandchildren Heather Turner, Brad Turner, Jenny Turner, Chris McNelly, Andy McNelly, Mary McNelly, as well as several great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, brothers Donald, Kenneth, sisters Louise and Ellen Mae, mother to his children Betty O’Toole, and wife Thelma.
Please join the family for a Celebration of Life on Saturday October 26, 2019 at 12 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St. The family will receive friends for fellowship from 10 am until time of service.
