

Lillian (Bean) Fink of Williamston passed away in her home Jan. 30, 2016 at the age of 85. The fourth of four children born to Marvin Day Bean and Lillian Howell Bean, she was born March 11, 1930 and raised in Lakeland, Florida, but sadly her parents passed away during her childhood. She worked as a school bus driver both in California and in Williamston, and she owned and operated a daycare center. Lillian had a passion for reading and learning, with favorites such as art, gardening and mysteries. On Dec. 13, 1978, she married Raymond N. Fink. Together they enjoyed travel, visiting many countries including Israel, Switzerland, Austria, France, Germany, England and Greece. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rebecca and Eleanor, and a step-daughter, Weaver Bloomfield. In addition to her husband of 38 years, she is survived by her brother Marvin Bean of Columbus, Ohio; her children, Jeanetta (Charles) Miller of Gualala, Calif., John Homer (Donalyn) Jones of Eureka, Calif., and Rebecca French of Buckeye, Ariz.; stepchildren, Carol Valor, Anne (Tim) Daniel, and Eric Fink (Lesa Johnson); step-son-in-law James Bloomfield; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Dansville Free Methodist Church, 1330 Mason in Dansville, with the Rev. Lori Dowdy officiating.
