

Lois was born in Detroit, MI on August 9, 1934 to Louis and Mamie McLeod. Lois was the second oldest of seven children. After the family left Detroit, they settled in Springport, Michigan. Lois graduated from Springport High School where she was class treasurer, she was in the glee club, operetta, F.H.A., Annual Staff, Hi-Lite, Sr. Play and class historian.
Lois married her high school sweetheart, Richard Kill on June 20, 1953 in Eaton Rapids, MI. They lived in Hayes, Kansas, L'Anse, MI, Bay City, South Haven, Pontiac, Holt, MI, Scottsdale, Arizona, and Williamston, MI.
Lois worked at the Hoag Bookbindary in Springport, at Michigan State University, at WJIM TV/Radio station in East Lansing and as a legal secretary in Michigan and Arizona. Lois enjoyed shopping, painting and traveling around the country. She also loved spending time at the beach in South Haven. Lois painted for many years. She was President of the South Haven Art Club and she also owned her own art gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona called Lorraine Gallery.
Lois is survived by her children, Gary Kill of Buffalo, MO, Doug Kill of Three Oaks, MI; grandchildren, Brian Kill, Thomas (Cassi) Kill, Kevin Kill, Nyssa Kill and Samantha Kill; great grandchildren, Clark Kill, Dean Kill; siblings, Carol Tester (McLeod), Lorraine Young (McLeod), Ralph (Brenda) McLeod, Kathleen (Dick) Cook, Karen (Stan) Kliewer; nieces and nephews, Patrick McLeod, Melinda (McLeod) Ohnstad, Heather (McLeod) Eberhart, Ron Tester, Tamara (Tester) Smith, Gordon Tester, Dawn (Young) Flores, Heidi (Young) Allen, Shannon McLeod, Shawn McLeod, Jeremy Cook, Justin Cook, Brandon Cook, Courtney (Cook) Hughes, Trevor Cook, Marcus Kliewer and Kelly (Kliewer) Yeomans.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Kill; father, Louis McLeod; mother, Mamie McLeod; older brother, Harold McLeod; and nephew, Christopher McLeod.
Services by Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E Middle St, Williamston, MI 48895. Visitation for friends and family will be on Monday, August 31st from 10 am to 11 am, with the service immediately following. Burial at Summit Cemetery in Williamston, MI.
