We think of Lorraine as petite, quiet and full of energy. Once during the Christmas season she spent the entire day helping us shop for bedding, rugs, and curtains for a family in need. She also went to lansing and helped us pick out a red suit for the visiting minister,s wife back in Kenya. She was about the same size and tried many on before he like one. Her wonderful laughter and love of life, always would light up a room. What a wonderful Christian friend, we missed her after she moved to Harrison,but always kept in touch. Another beautiful Angel will be waiting in Heaven. Love to all the family. Betty and Dean Dodge

We call you mom although we are not your biological children. Your motherly love has made all the difference. Birthday cards always arrive in time with warm messages of love, and occasional gatherings in a restaurant are invariably marked with your contagious cheerfulness and good stories. The daisies you gave us bloom 3 seasons of a year in our yard and have spread a lot, and the lilacs return every spring with heart-shaped leaves and long lasting fragrance. Xiaolu's friends in college all know she has an American grandma in Harrison of Michigan, who makes terrific chocolate cookies. And mom, you sent her your homemade cookies all the time and you fell and broke your arm one winter on your way to the post office. 

The lilacs will return every spring with all of our memories of you, and heaven now is a more attractive place because of you. We will dearly miss you!

Grandma Lorraine will be greatly missed by myself and our family.
She was so sweet, helpful and generous. 
My first memory of her as our new Grandma, was her wonderful celebration of Christmas. She mailed us homemade fudge! Who still does that?  She decked herself out in jingle bell earrings, elf shoes and everything for the Holiday gatherings. The kids were fascinated by her enthusiasim. 
I loved her hugs and encouragement and Grandma Lorraine always had a cheerful word to make you feel better.
She never forgot to send a card to the children on their birthdays and even myself as well. 
The last visit to her and Grandpa's home I was treated to her delicious roast beef and potatoes and funny stories of her past. I'm joyful that she is no longer suffering.
I will so miss her laugh and love.
 We love you Grandma Lorraine.
