I WAS A WORK BUDDY WITH MERLIN AT OLDSMOBILE. HE WAS AN OUTSTANDING PERSON. WE DICUSSED MANY THINGS GOING ON IN OUR LIVES. HIS DESIRE TO GO INTO BUILDING LOG HOMES WAS ONE OF THE FAVORITE SUBJETS. I AM A BETTER PERSON BECAUSE OF THE INFLUENCE HE HAD ON ME . THANK YOU MERLIN. LAVERNE AVES

Merlin was a man that is very rare in today's world and will be greatly missed by many. Because of his love of simplier times, his intelligent mind and keen wit, he started a log home company sharing his love of frontier life with family and strangers alike. We met Merlin through his sister Doris and now, because of Merlin, we live in the log cabin of our dreams. I can still see him as a mountain of a man with wood shavings on his clothes, a mechanical pencil in his pocket, and a gleam in his eye. He will be missed but always remembered when the winds blow and the snow falls...while we are snug in the home he made for us. Our condolences to his family.
