Paul was born on December 10, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, to his loving parents, Leslie and Joann. He married his beloved wife, Mary Ellen, on September 30, 1983, and together they shared a beautiful life filled with cherished memories with their three children - Jeremy, Erica, and Brenna. At just 18 years old, Paul began his career at General Motors, dedicating an impressive 44.5 years to the company before retiring.
Paul was truly one of the most remarkable individuals anyone could hope to know. His warmth and compassion touched the lives of many. As a devoted husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend, he was known for his kindness, welcoming spirit, and infectious sense of humor.
A passionate lover of the outdoors, Paul found immense joy in riding his dirt bike in the breathtaking landscapes of Northern Michigan and creating lasting memories at his family cabin. He and Mary Ellen traveled extensively in the last year to Paris, London, Alaska, Hawaii, and California, exploring new places and sharing their adventures together, which was a testament to the deep bond they shared. Paul's legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen; children, Jeremy (Kaylan) Ehlke, Erica (Nate) Lucier, and Brenna (Nico) Vargas-Brito; grandchildren, Ava, Weston, Emmalyn, and Bennett; seven siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
