Raymundo A. Montemayor Jr.

Born on August 2, 1976, in Lansing, Michigan, to Raymundo and Zulema Montemayor, Ray spent most of his life in the small town he cherished—his beloved home in Webberville, Michigan.

Ray was married to his wife of 6 years, Heather Montemayor, and was a proud father to his daughter, Ally, age 24. A man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures, Ray could often be found outdoors, in his “shop,” or tending to his garden. He had a passion for tractor pulling and treasured time spent with friends and family. Known for his humble nature and generous heart, Ray was always willing to lend a helping hand to those he loved. He had a special bond with his dogs, Nala and Cooper, who were constant companions.

Ray is survived by his wife, Heather; his daughter, Ally; his mother, Zulema Montemayor; and his sisters, Elizabeth (Joshua) Heinritz and Maria (Joseph) Paget. He is also lovingly remembered by his nephew, Robbie Heinritz; his niece, Eleanor Paget; his nephew, Jack Paget; and by Vinny, Anthony and Max Heinritz—whom he embraced as nephews by marriage. Ray also leaves behind many cousins and countless friends who will miss his quiet strength and steady presence.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, Raymundo Montemayor Sr., and his brother, Roberto Montemayor. His family finds comfort in knowing he is now reunited with them, embraced in eternal peace.

Ray’s life was one of hard work, kindness, and devotion to family. His absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Ray will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home Williamston Chapel, 205 E Middle St., Williamston, MI 48895. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Following the service, Ray will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Williamston, Michigan. After the burial, the family invites everyone to join them for a luncheon at Mount Hope Church, 3417 E Grand River Ave., Williamston, MI 48895.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Joseph Paget, Joshua Heinritz, Andrew Alvarado, Robert Mackenzie, Travis Crockett, Patrick Crandall, and Justin Monroe.
