Robert "Bob" Charles Gilpin

Robert “Bob” Charles Gilpin Williamston, Michigan Robert Charles Gilpin was born June 11, 1930 and passed away September 16, 2013 at the age of 83. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Eloda Gilpin, and JoAnn (Gilpin) Wallace. Bob was a Korean War veteran, was an active member of the Webberville community serving for several years on the Village Council and Fire Department, and loved organizing the parades during Firemen Field Days before moving to Williamston, where he joined the Kiwanis Club and served as Secretary and President. Bob absolutely loved his social time with friends at Ellie’s Country Kitchen in Williamston. Surviving are his loving family; son Michael, daughters LeeAnn (Terry) Estes, Diane (Kevin) Price, Sherri Gilpin, sister Patsy (Robert) Knaffle, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. No services are being held. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel.

Bob was a great man to talk to. we enjoyed his company at both Elle's and Sunnyside. I loved talking Tigers with him. We will miss him.

Bob was quite a character :) When I worked at Ellies I would see him sometimes 4 or 5 times a day. He was very generous and funny. He will be greatly missed. R.I.P Bob ??

Oh Diane and Mike, I am so so sorry for your loss. He was a great man who always had a smile and kind words. Loved his sense of humor and the "liar's club" he started at Ellie's Country Kitchen. Working with him at Kiwanis was fun. You are in my thoughts and prayers. My deepest sympathies.

I worked at the church with JoAnn for many years. Bob sometimes came in, I always thought he was a great guy. A gentle person who continued to care about her. My deepset condolences.
