Ruth went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 11, 2016 at age 91. Ruth was born July 8, 1924, the daughter of Margaret and Ezar Donald.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin, as well as brothers, Roland Blake, William Blake and sister Bertine Pierson, and her parents. Ruth is survived by three sons and one daughter, Walter (Linda) Cornell of Mason, Don (Shari) Cornell of Baldwin, Mike (Linda) Cornell of Williamston, and Cathey Harvey of Baldwin, and brother Roy Donald. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will celebrate her life on Friday January 15, 2016 at 12:30 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St. Pastor David J. Saglimbene will be officiating. Interment will take place at Glendale Cemetery in Okemos following the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service.
