I am so shocked and saddened to hear of this tragedy. I always felt a special connection to Stephanie because of our mutual love of horses and of course our musical tastes. Stephanie was always a friendly face that I delighted in seeing throughout our time at UofM and beyond. I only wish that I had been able to know her better. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

You are sweet and brilliant soul, Stephanie. Your quiet voice couldn't disguise your enormous heart. Those of us who knew could see that you were a deep thinker who saw the reality of things and wanted to change it for the better.

I met Stephanie through Truth Cooperative House at the University of Michigan. I remember how knowledgeable she was in psychology and her unique brand of humor that always made me smile. She will be missed.

I knew Stephanie for almost three years in the MLS lab. We went to San Antonio to attend a SoA Conference together.
At this moment, these memories are still so clear. She is such a smart girl! I remember her dream of being a professor in the future. I always believe she will achieve more than what she has planned. I remember she talked about her pets, her favorite Zoup soup… I remember her smile when she talked about her family trip to Disney Land. I remember she said she would like to be a professor like her dad. I remember she is very proud of her younger sister who got admission from U of M…
She is a good girl. She is a lovely daughter. In our hearts, I know she will be living forever…

It is incredibly difficult to put into words the deep sorrow and physical pain felt by our family for the heartbreaking loss of Stephanie. We are so terribly sorry. I offer my sincerest condolences (and lots of hugs) to those that were closest with her. May we forever remember our best times with her, and draw strength from one another as we celebrate her life.

I attended undergrad with Stephanie, and we worked together in the MLS lab. I was constantly impressed by her kindness, her hard work, and her ambitions. I feel privileged for having known Stephanie. My heart goes out to her family and friends, who I will be keeping in my thoughts during this difficult time.
