Weldon joined the Army National Guard in 1953 and served for 9 years. He was a Sergeant in the 119th Field Artillery Battalion. He worked at Demmer Corporation in Lansing for 43 years as plant manager.
Weldon married Darlene Bohnett from Dansville, MI in 1955 and gave life to three beautiful children; Russell (Cindy) Parker, Brenda (Mike) Fleser, and Cindy Parker; he was blessed with six grandchildren, Alyssa and Craig Fleser, Adam Parker and Andrea (Jerry) Jorgensen, Matthew and Benjamin Meranda: and two great grandchildren, Izadore and Jericho Jorgensen. He is also survived by his brother Wendell (Mary) Parker.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St. at 2 p.m. with visitation two hours prior to service.
