William Bisard was born March 5, 1926 in Owosso, Michigan and passed away on November 11, 2015 in Williamston, Michigan at the age of 89.
William was a veteran of the US Army in front line combat with the 3rd Army from 1944-1946; he was in the 70th Infantry division in France and Germany during the grueling winter of 1944-1945. William graduated from MSU in 1959, was captain of the MSU tennis team, and played tennis from 1956-1959. He went on to be a teacher and tennis coach at East Lansing High School in 1961 until his retirement in 1988.
William was preceded in death by his parents William and Fern (Richmond) Bisard. Surviving to cherish in William’s memory is his wife Ruth, daughter Susan Bisard, sons Steven (Sumlee) and William (Sara) Bisard, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
