Annie Bowen Chesson

Annie Bowen Chesson, 96, died Tuesday September 4, 2012 at Roanoke River Nursing and Rehab Center. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 :00 AM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with Archie Gilmer officiating; burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.

Mrs Chesson was born June 3, 1916 in Martin County daughter of the late Paul and Millie Jane Gurganus Bowen. She was a homemaker and a member of the Williamston Church of Christ. On September 19, 1931 she married Mark Chesson who preceded her in death on July 24, 1996. Two sons Charles Chesson and Rupert Chesson also preceded her in death.

She is survived by sons Elwood Chesson & wife Ann A., Jimmy Chesson & wife Ann G., and Keith Chesson and wife Judy all of Williamston, daughter Dianne Whitley and husband Steve of Simpson, daughters-in-law Betty Chesson & Linda Chesson both of Williamston, 13 grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7-8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence 1812 W Main Street
