Betty Waldrop Grooms, 81, died Saturday December 20, 2014 at Martin General Hospital. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Jamesville Christian Church with Doug Stokes officiating. Burial will follow a Jamesville Cemetery.
Mrs Grooms was born April 19, 1933 in Bluff NC, daughter of the late Henry Crawford and Liza Fagan Waldrop. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Jamesville Christian Church.
She was married to Lonnie Grooms who preceded her in death in October of 2006. A son Darrel Grooms also preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son Duane Grooms of Columbia SC and a daughter Cynthia Grooms of Jamesville and a brother Ed Waldrop of Kannapolis.
