Dallas Andrew Griffin was born on December 23, 1930 to Andrew and Ella Griffin. He died on January 11, 2105 at home after several years of declining health at 84. Married Sarah Revels on July 21, 1951. They had two children Janet Lucido and Andy Griffin (Jennifer). He had five
grandchildren David Lucido (Vanessa), Michael Lucido (Laurie), Diane Lucido, Hollie Whitaker (David), and Beth Griffin. He also had three great grandchildren Andrew Whitaker, Brody Whitaker, and Arabella Lucido. He served in the Army and obtained rank of Sergeant. After coming home he took on the part time business of making barbecue for a few select customers and made it into what is now Griffins Barbecue. Starting with barbecue then adding sausage and for a time catering as well. He served in the Griffins Fire Dept. in the days when you fought fires without turnout gear. He loved the outside and farming but especially working with a front end loader, overloading it and the truck many times. He loved his family and he worked hard to
provide for them. He was a good teacher willing to take time to show others how to do something new. Most important he loved God and his church and he more than anything wanted to pass that on to the next generation. He understood that putting God first meant things where in right order not that others where in second place. He will be missed but never forgotten.
There will be a visitation for Dallas Griffin on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at Macedonia Christian Church, Funeral service will follow at 1:30pm
