David Phillip Glisson

David Phillip Glisson, 80, died Wednesday September 12, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Pat Patton officiating; burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens

Mr Glisson was born on October 27, 1931 in Pitt County. He was the son of the late Arthur and Hattie Mae Overton Glisson. He was retired as District Manager of Peoples Security Life Insurance Company. Phil was a member of Vernon United Methodist Church.

On November 14, 1949 he married Christine Bedard Glisson who preceded him in death on January 31, 2008.

Survivors are sons David Glisson Jr of Levexa Kansas and Clay Glisson of Springfield Tennessee, daughter Kimberly G Peters of Greenville, sister Audrey Whitley of Greenville, and 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-9:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence 209 N Edgewood Ave.
