David Verlin Griffin, 87, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday July, 19, 2016. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Biggs Funeral Home Chapel; burial will follow at Tice Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral (1:00-2:00PM) at the funeral Home.
Mr. Griffin was born in Martin County on October 18, 1928 To David Thomas and Lucy Roberson Griffin and lived in the Farm Life Community.
He is survived by a daughter, Sheila Toler and husband Tony of Williamston, N.C, and 1 grand son, Maxx Camden Toler of Apex, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Ruby Hardison and Levinia Griffin.
