Evelyn Stanley Rogers

Evelyn Stanley Rogers, 90, died Sunday April 3,2011 at Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City. The graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 :00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston with Rev Candace Worth officiating. Mrs Rogers was born in Columbia Tennessee on February 9, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Rose Stanley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bear Grass Presbyterian Church.

On June 20, 1950 she married John Rossell Rogers Sr who preceded her in death on April 12, 1997. Survivors are daughter Betty .T Hardee of Elizabeth City, brothers Charles Stanley of Raleigh and Jimmy Stanley of Myrtle Beach SC, grandchildren James Robert Hardee of Greensboro, Phyllis Thiel of Orlando Florida, Joette Story and John R Rogers Jr both of Memphis Tennessee, great grandchildren Ashliegh Wilson-Hardee and Landon Ross Wilson-Hardee both of Greensboro, and Megan and Brook Story both of Memphis Tennessee.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Horne in Williamston.
