Sorry to read of Hall's death.  Also sorry we haven't been in touch for so long.

I went through same thing Feb. '09 when Martha died - tough to get over, but as everyone says, time does help.

Will be thinking of you in your time of grief.

Mr. Reddick will always hold a very special place in my heart as well as my husband's and sons'.  He is in my earliest memories of life in Williamston.  Our families grew up together.  We played, worshipped, picniced, shared discussions on political issues, and so much more.  He was our "back door neighbor."  
He was a walking encyclopedia and we looked up to him. Creative, inventive, unique, compassionate are just some of the words that could be used to describe him.
We will miss you, Mr. Reddick.
Rest eternal grant to him, O Lord; And let light perpetual shine upon him. Amen

Mr. Reddick will always hold a very special place in my heart. Some of earliest memories of living in Williamston involve him. As Kit and I were, and still are, such dear friends, I spent a lot of time at their home.  Our families did a lot of things together....times at the swimming hole....church....picnics......etc.  My father and Mr. R. worked together on many projects.  
He loved my pineapple pudding which I always made just for him.
Mr. Reddick would always let me know in a very diplomatic way that I had messed up a hymn while singing in the junior choir by losing my place or misreading a word here or there.  Of course, being the loudest singer in the Jr. choir, my mistakes were more obvious.  LOL!
Mr. Reddick would always be available to hear any questions and would do all he could to answer them.  
He could usually be found, either working in the yard, on his farm, in his workshop, or reading the WallStreet Journal in the TV room.
My father, Bill Arnold, and my husband, Don, thoroughly enjoyed joining Mr. Reddick at the "round table" at the Holiday Inn and discussing all the issues of the day.  Mr. Reddick loved the fact that Don worked for the federal gov't in Washington. Our son, Rob, loved getting in on those discussions as well.  
Mr. Reddick, you will be sorely missed.

Mr. Reddick was one of the finest men I have ever known. He was my Scout Master, he was my employer, he was my chess playing advisory, he was my friend and confidant. I cannot express in words all that he meant to me. His door was always open to me, and no matter how bad I had been, there was always forgiveness in his heart. I was very lucky indeed to have grown up with his children who are all likewise exceptional loving and caring people. 

Mr. Reddick was different from most of us in many ways. He was a good man to the core of his very being. He would argue with me, until I saw things his way, and he would then change the argument back to where it had started from, in order to be sure neither of us missed anything. He was patient with me in a way that defies imagination. He always led by example and I cherish the time he spent with me and the lessons I learned from him. He absolutely loved a good challenge and I am sure I was one of his biggest. However, despite my shortcomings he never wavered in his beliefs nor his love. The legacy he has left for all of you, and all those that knew and loved him, will live on and on. 

I am so lucky and grateful to have known him, learned from him, and loved him.
